The
Pacific Forest Rally has been held in BC's
southern interior off and on since the 1970's. During
the 1970's and 80's this event became famous
as part of the Canadian National Rally Championship.
Revived once again for 2000, it will feature
challenging roads around the Cache
Creek area to test the abilities of the rally
teams and their vehicles. This year's event
is being observed for possible future inclusion

Tips
for safe viewing:
Bring
sun screen, bug spray, water and food.
- Plan
on being on the mountain for an extended
period of time. There will be restricted
times during which to drive in and out.
Before leaving the spectator area parking,
ask one of the rally officials. They
will inform you when it is safe to go.
You can walk up and down the stages to
try different viewing areas.
- Stay
well off the road and never on the outside
of a corner. Rally cars drift wide and
spray gravel. Expect the unexpected, watch
for cars and leave yourself room to move
quickly.
- Follow
the Marshals instructions. They are there
for your safety, as well as for the safety
of the competitors.
- Please
keep control of all children and pets.
- Don't
walk on the roads when the rally cars are
on the stages, they are driving very fast
and using the whole road.
- Please
take all your garbage with you, garbage
bags will be at stage start, stage finish
and main spectator point.
- No
open fires. Please extinguish your cigarettes
safely.
- Don't
disturb any rally signs or banner tape,
it's there for a reason. Don't block the
drivers view of any signs.
