Midnight Rally October 30/31, 2004 Round 5 of the
BC TSD Rally Championship
and
Round 3 of the 2004 Island Rally Series

The 2004 Midnight Rally is
a one evening time-speed-distance (TSD) event, round
5 of the BC TSD
Rally Championship and round 3 of the
Island Rally Series. Midnight is organized by
the Island Rallysport
Club; and sanctioned by Rally Pacific Motorsports
and Canadian Association of Rallysport. Interesting
and challenging roads in the rugged central Vancouver
Island area are used.
The
2004 BC TSD Rally Regulations will apply. These
regulations are available from Rally Pacific Motorsports
on-line or from the registrar of this event.
The rally starts in Courtenay,
BC and finishes in Nanaimo, BC. It runs on straight
forward instructions listed in a route book given
to competitors prior to the scheduled departure
time of the first car; and is approximately 400
km in length using roads about 60% gravel and 40%
pavement. Maximum distance between gas stops is
less than 250 km (156 miles). Distances and average
speeds are given in metric and imperial units.
Definition: A competitor,
for the purposes of these Supplementary Regulations,
is two people, a driver and a navigator, and an
eligible vehicle licenced and insured for driving
on public roads. A competitor is also known as a
crew.
